The tribute episodes to Leslie Charleson are kicking off on General Hospital with a memorial and dedication to Monica.
While Port Charles mourns Monica after her passing, the cast of General Hospital is still reeling from losing Charleson back in January. As Parade reported, Jane Elliot (Tracy) admitted she lost her friend twice because of Monica’s passing on the show.

In a video to tease the upcoming episodes focused on honoring Monica and Charleson, several General Hospital stars spoke out to honor their beloved co-star.
“The way that we should all remember Leslie is that she is an awful lot of fun,” shared Finola Hughes (Anna). The actress also chuckled over the relationship Monica and Tracy had, which, as fans know, is one of the greatest in daytime.
Wally Kurth (Ned) opened up about some of the material Charleson got during her time on the ABC soap, before gushing over Charleson as a person.
“She wasn’t always given the most dramatic stuff. But the breast cancer storyline in particular was really moving,” he shared. “She was a wonderful actress; just a great colleague, and she was also amazing with the fans."
There’s no question that Charleson was Monica; it was something Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) spoke about in the teaser video.
“As she lived in her real life, she lived through her character on the show as a formidable woman,” Grahn shared.
Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn) revealed how she hopes Charleson is remembered: “I would love her to be remembered as the force and kind soul that she was."
John J. York (Mac) joked that they were both “very irreverent,” so he had stories, but couldn’t share them.

The footage also features clips from General Hospital, teasing how Monica is honored on the show. Several stars commented that Monica and Charleson's memory will live on through their legacies on the hit ABC soap.

Genie Francis (Laura) remarked that Monica is like Dr. Hardy or Jesse Brewer—all of their legacies make up General Hospital.
Meanwhile, Maurice Benard (Sonny) claimed, “The legacy is she began GeneralHospital, she started it all.”
York agreed, insisting, “The legacy of the show, she’s just blood running through the veins of General Hospital.”
Kristina Wagner (Felicia) loves that the show is having a wing inGeneral Hospital dedicated to Monica, where she was a doctor and chief of staff. It gives the fans, the cast, and crew a constant reminder of Charleson and her legacy as Monica on the ABC soap.
