I don't know what it is, but whenever I travel to a tourist destination, I have to find out if they have a Christmas store. It feels so warm and cozy to roam the displays of ornaments, decorations, hear Christmas music and inevitably smell the intoxicating aroma of cinnamon, even if it's the middle of summer. Because in a year-round Christmas store, it's basically Dec. 25 every single day.
In 2024 Spirit Halloween debuted a new holiday-centric store in the form of Spirit Christmas. But they only launched with around eight locations across the U.S.. As someone who didn't live anywhere near one of those Spirit Christmas stores, I was royally bummed. However, they're back, baby! And with 30 locations across the country in 2025. Now they're still going to be located across the Northeast and Great Lakes regions (so I'm out of luck again—sorry, California) but this expansion hopefully means even bigger things are to come in 2026. Before I get ahead of myself, here's what to know about the seasonal store for this year.

So here's what you really need to know about Spirit Christmas: it isn't just a store, it's a whole experience. In 2025 they're debuting "Peppermint Village," which is described as an immersive in-store activation that's plentiful in festive decor, gifts, holiday apparel and even interactive displays.
I really hope there are some solid, retro-style holiday animatronics because it really isn't the winter season without those, no matter how much technology improves. Some things are just meant to be a little silly and not so high-tech.

You Can Meet Santa at Spirit Christmas Stores
If you're looking for a spot to snap a picture for with the big guy in red this holiday season, you can reserve a time slot at Spirit Christmas. In fact, reservations are already open at SpiritChristmas.com. The list shown on the signup page tells you where the store locations will be this year, including:
