AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Thursday, a Round Rock ISD middle school was evacuated twice before a gas leak was discovered.
According to Ridgeview Middle School, it reported a gas smell in the morning, which resulted in a brief evacuation while the issue was investigated. The fire department gave an all-clear, and classes resumed.
Ridgeview Middle School Principal Marisa Ramirez said the gas smell was reported again, and a leak was eventually discovered.
“All students and staff are safe and are working together to follow safety procedures,” Ramirez said.
