UR Medicine Thompson Health job fair
UR Medicine Thompson Health is hiring. A job fair will take place on Thursday from 2 to 5 p.m. at F.F. Thompson Hospital.
Thompson Health is Ontario County’s largest employer. Hiring managers will be at the fair for on-site interviews. The fair will take place at the cafeteria on the ground floor of the hospital’s Constellation Center for Health and Healing. Guests can enter through The Thompson Way, a private drive off West Street.
Frederick Douglass HBCU Classic college expo
An expo to learn about Historically Black Colleges and Universities is taking place on Thursday, ahead of the annual HBCU Football Classic game this weekend.
The expo runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Blue Cross Arena. There will be representatives from over 20 HBCUs with a chance to learn about scholarships. You can see the list of HBCUs and register here.

Free car seat safety checks in Brockport
The Monroe County Office of Traffic Safety is holding two free car seat safety checks this week. They’ll also help parents to determine the right seats for their children and show how to correctly install them.
The safety check on Thursday will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Seymour Public Library in Brockport. The check on Saturday will run from 11:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Delta Sonic in Webster. NHTSA research shows that car seats reduce deadly injury by 71% for infants (under 1 year old) and by 54% for toddlers (1 to 4 years old).
