Elijah Welsh of San Diego was riding to the south on a transition ramp from Interstate 15 to State Route 163 on Saturday when his two-wheeler struck a concrete barrier and crashed onto the roadway, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Paramedics took Welsh to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from blunt-force trauma at about 4:15 Saturday afternoon, the agency reported.
