CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A massage therapist has been charged with felony secret peeping after he used a hidden cell phone to record a client without her knowledge at a Charlotte spa, according to Mecklenburg County court documents.
Court records state that the incident happened on Monday, September 22, at Silent Moments Spa on Park Road. The client told Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police that she had just finished her massage and returned to the room to get dressed when she noticed a flashing light. She discovered a phone placed near a backpack and realized it had been recording, police said.
The woman airdropped the videos from the phone to her own device and left the spa before contacting authorities, court records state.

Jarrod Crawford, 40, has been identified as the suspect. He was arrested and later admitted to CMPD detectives that he set up the phone to record the client. "It was a bad decision, was wrong," he told investigators, according to court documents.
Crawford told detectives he had worked at Silent Moments Spa since March 2024 and had been employed at several other massage businesses in the area, records state. He claimed his terminations from those previous jobs "were unrelated to any sexual misconduct," though one involved complaints from female clients.
