One of the biggest stars in the NFL over the past decade has been none other than former Texas A&M Aggies standout wide receiver Mike Evans, who has spent his entire 12-year pro career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The 6-time Pro Bowler and 2020 Super Bowl champion is now in his 12th professional season with the Bucs, but injuries appear to finally be catching up to the former Aggies star in his now age-32 campaign.
Evans entered the year with a nagging hamstring injury, and he will now reportedly be sidelined for at least 3 to 4 weeks after re-aggravating the tweaked hammy in Tampa Bay’s Week 3 win over the New York Jets.

— Matt Zenitz (@mzenitz) September 23, 2025Evans was selected seventh overall by the Buccaneers back in the 2014 NFL Draft following an elite 2-year stretch with Texas A&M, where he paired with former Aggies Heisman winner Johnny Manziel to form one of the most unstoppable offensive duos in college football history.
He was named a first-team All-American following his last season in College Station in 2013, earning the honor for racking up nearly 1,400 receiving yards and hauling in 13 touchdowns.
Hopefully, Evans will be able to make a quick recovery from his hamstring injury, and he can continue to make Aggie and Buccaneers’ fans across the nation proud with his elite play on Sundays.
