Amid their perfect start, Irsay-Gordon has been spotted on the sidelines at Lucas Oil Stadium, wearing a headset and taking notes during games.

Carlie is the daughter of late Colts owner Jim Irsay, who died in May 2025 aged 65.
Jim had led the team since 1997, when he succeeded his father, and presided over one of their greatest eras, which delivered Super Bowl glory in 2007 and quarterback Peyton Manning under center.
Indy also earned 10 division championships, won two AFC Championships and produced 115 regular season wins from 2000-2009, which at the time was the most in a decade for any team in the NFL.

Carlie, who is the eldest of Jim’s three daughters, had long been seen as the most involved in team operations.

As Carlie has assumed day-to-day responsibility of team operations, she is often seen on the sideline during games.
She was spotted wearing a headset to listen to play calls and take notes during all three wins, including Week 3’s success against the Titans.
Carlie is said to be taking a hands-on approach early in the season, and has been fully involved in team activities.
“She’s been on the sidelines the last several years. She’s got her earpiece in, she’s listening to plays. She’s taking notes,” one announcer said during Sunday’s CBS broadcast.

“Obviously, I’ve only been in the NFL going on my fifth year, so I don’t have too much experience. She’s just so involved in everything.
“During OTAs, she was sitting in the defensive meeting with a notebook, same notebook that we’re writing in, writing the installs, asking me, ‘What’s the coverage on this play?'”
New Colts quarterback Jones, who has been key to the team’s early success in 2025, has also opened up on Irsay-Gordon.
“She is very intentional on trying to learn what’s going on in the game plan week-to-week,” he explained.
