Clairemont High, Marston Middle schools on lockdown following ‘credible threat’

Clairemont High School is on lockdown Monday afternoon following what the San Diego Police Department said is a “credible threat.”

Law enforcement is conducting a sweep of the campus, SDPD said. The department added that nearby Marston Middle School is also on lockdown as of about 12:30 p.m. out of “an abundance of caution.”

    Police said that parents and guardians can go to the following staging areas:

    3401 Clairemont Drive at the YMCA; 2800 Calle Way behind the Sprouts; and 4272 Balboa Avenue at Canyon View Church of Christ.

    “When the lockdown is lifted you may pick them up on campus,” SDPD said.
