The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond admits that her marriage to Ladd Drummond isn’t always perfect. In a new YouTube video, she made a surprising confession about their relationship dynamic as they celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Ree made a surprise appearance in a new video uploaded to The Drummond Ranch YouTube channel. The channel, which focuses on the family's ranch life, typically follows the Drummond clan and the ranch's cowboys as they navigate the day-to-day operations of the family business.
Titled "Bulls and Breakfast," Ladd, the couple's daughter Paige Drummond Andersen, son Todd Drummond, and the ranch's cowboys ready the bulls to be put to pasture with the cows so they could breed. However, they first stop at Ree and Ladd's home to eat breakfast.
Ree cooked up a big spread of cinnamon toast, fried eggs, and steaks for the hungry crew. While she was cooking, she made a surprise marriage confession.

"Ladd is the youngest child. Sometimes he thinks I'm one of his kids," she said.
"He needs to boss me around every once in a while. I'm older than him," she continued. "Two weeks older."

Ree marked the occasion with an Instagram post, celebrating the day even though she and Ladd spent it apart. She was in Pennsylvania launching her new QVC clothing line while Ladd remained at their Pawhuska, Oklahoma home.
She is hopeful that on their 30th anniversary, they can plan a European getaway. However, in true Drummond fashion, they shook on it because, as she wrote in the caption's post, "something always comes up."
The couple is parents to Alex Drummond Scott, Paige Drummond Andersen, Bryce Drummond, Todd Drummond, and their foster son, Jamar Goff. They have one grandchild, Sofia Scott.
Ree Drummond admitted it was love at first sight with Ladd
The first night Ree Drummond met Ladd Drummond, she was fresh out of a longtime relationship with a young man she had met while attending college in California. She was at a local bar with some friends when she spotted Ladd across the room.
She wrote, "That's when I saw him, the cowboy, across the room. He was tall, strong, and mysterious, sipping bottled beer and wearing jeans and I noticed, cowboy boots."
She continued, "His hair. This stallion's hair was very short and silvery gray, much too gray for how young his face said he was, but just gray enough to send me through the roof with all sorts of fantasies of Cary Grant in North by Northwest."
Ree concluded, "Gracious, but he was a vision, this Marlboro Man-esque rugged character across the room. After a few minutes of staring, I inhaled deeply, then stood up. I needed to see his hands. They were big and strong, Bingo."
