PHOENIX — Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll received a standing ovation from the fans at Chase Field after stealing his 30th base of the season on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
The reception was brought on by an announcement on the video board that showed Carroll had become the first player in Diamondbacks history with a 30-home run, 30-stolen base season.
Carroll smoked his 31st home run of the year in the second inning to give the Diamondbacks a 6-0 lead. After reaching first base on a fielder’s choice in the sixth, he took off and swiped second base easily.

He became the fourth player this season to reach 30-30. Juan Soto, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Jose Ramirez were the first three.
Carroll and Ramirez are the only two players with 30 home runs, 30 stolen bases and 30 doubles, while Carroll also leads MLB with 17 triples.
In fact, the only other player in major league history with 30 home runs, 30 steals, 30 doubles and 17 triples in a season is Jimmy Rollins for the 2007 Phillies, according to Stathead. Rollins won the MVP that year.
Carroll surpassed 30 steals in each of his first two major league seasons, reaching 54 during his Rookie of the Year campaign in 2023. His career high for home runs was 25 entering this season, as this has been a breakout campaign for him as a power hitter.
He is second in the National League in extra-base hits this season.
