Sirad Bryant, the UAB defender who took a cheap shot at Tennessee kicker Max Gilbert during Saturday’s matchup at Neyland Stadium, has issued an apology via his personal Instagram account.

He is also known for the following play when he played safety for Georgia Tech back in 2022. Bryant transferred to UAB ahead of last season after playing 3 seasons in Atlanta with the Yellow Jackets.

Apart from Bryant’s cheap shot taken at Gilbert, it was a normal day at the office for the Volunteers. Tennessee came out on top, 56-24, and now sits at 3-1 on the season with their first road test of the year on the horizon. The Vols travel to Starkville to battle Mississippi State next Saturday., with kickoff for Week 5’s matchup set for 4:15 p.m. on SEC Network.
