The final installment of the Week 3 Chicago Bears injury report is OUT, and it is U-G-L-Y.
Five players have already been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. In other words, an already daunting task will be that much more difficult when the two teams take to the Soldier Field surface. The vibes aren’t doing to well, my friends.
Week 3 Chicago Bears Injury Report — September 18, 2025
PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN RULED OUT: Cornerback Jaylon Johnson, linebacker T.J. Edwards, cornerback Kyler Gordon, offensive lineman Kiran Amegadjie, cornerback Jaylon Jones
Ugh. This Bears injury report is gross.
Three starting defenders will not suit up at all for the Bears in week three as linebacker T.J. Edwards joins cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon as being already ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. Johnson has a groin injury that was suffered in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Detroit Lions, which is keeping him out of action. Meanwhile, Gordon remains on the sideline with a hamstring injury that came up on the Sunday before the Bears’ Week 1 opener. As for Edwards, he returns to being out of action after making his 2025 debut in Week 2 in Detroit. Before playing last Sunday, Edwards had been out while dealing with an ankle injury.

Jones hasn’t practiced all week because of a hamstring issue. As for Amegadjie, he was limited on Wednesday with an elbow injury before missing back-to-back practices on Thursday and Friday.
I can’t shake the feeling that Jaylon Johnson should’ve started the year on IR or that Kyler Gordon should’ve gone on IR after suffering his injury before Week 1. As it stands, the Bears have four healthy cornerbacks on their active roster: Nick McCloud, Josh Blackwell, Nahshon Wright, and Tyrique Stevenson. Good luck guarding CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens on Sunday. You’ll need it.
PLAYERS WHO ARE QUESTIONABLE TO PLAY IN WEEK 3: Running back D’Andre Swift, linebacker D’Marco Jackson
Running back D’Andre Swift has been sidelined with a quad injury, which has made him a limited participant throughout practice this week on the Bears injury report. Linebacker D’Marco Jackson had a hamstring injury that limited him in practice on Wednesday and kept him off the field on Thursday before returning on Friday. Both players are questionable to play against Dallas.

If Swift can’t give it a go, it will be up to Roschon Johnson and rookie Kyle Monangai. Monangai had his first carry last week against the Lions, while Roschon’s next touch on the offensive side of the ball will be his first. Heck, Johnson hasn’t even played an offensive snap yet this year.

If you are looking for some good news from the Bears injury report, it is that two players who were previously dealing with injuries now have no game-day designation and are good to go for Sunday. Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett has been working through a knee issue, but went from not practicing on Wednesday to doing so in full on Friday. And then there is Jahdae Walker, who has strung together consecutive full practices after starting the week being limited.
