It's a long way from the English countryside to London Fashion Week, but Great British Baking Show judge Prue Leith makes the transition with ease.
The legendary culinary queen, 85, best known for sharing her baking expertise on the beloved cooking show alongside Paul Hollywood and a slew of ambitious bakers, hit the runway at London Fashion Week to attend the fashion show of eco-conscious designers Vin + Omi at art'otel Hoxton on Thursday. But the stunner didn't just sit in the front row of the fashion show, titled "Dysphoriana," like a normal celebrity. She hit the catwalk!
Leith hit the runway in an oversized red dress that was described as "a re-worked red parachute with matching red earrings and rimmed glasses," according to the Independent. Leave it to Leith to make recycled materials look absolutely incredible!

Leith Reflected on Her First Marriage
Life hasn't always been as glamorous as a fashion show for Leith. Last month, she spoke candidly about her relationship with her first husband, Rayne Kruger. During an appearance on Dinner’s on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson, the culinary icon opened up about how their relationship started as a 13-year affair. At the same time, Kruger was married to South African actress Nan Munro. Munro also happened to be best friends with Leith’s mother at the time.
“I adored her and she was wonderful to me and she was like a mother to me and she couldn’t have been more welcoming,” Leith told Ferguson. “But I fell in love with her husband and he with me. And so for years we kept it absolutely secret. We had a 13-year secret affair.”
The couple ended up marrying in 1974 and remained wed until Kruger died in 2002. Looking back on how they got together, Leith admitted it was wrong. Still, she wouldn't change it.
“I can’t justify it, because I think it’s wrong,” she said. “I still think adultery is bad, but I wouldn’t undo it. You see, people say to me, ‘If you think it was wrong, would you do things differently?’ No, I wouldn’t. He was the most important man of my life.”
Leith remarried in 2016 to her current husband, John Playfair.
