The Twister actress, 52, declared, "Once again this man speaks the truth," in overlain text.
In the clip, Buttigieg said, "Hey, it's Pete. It's really important to understand that the Jimmy Kimmel news is about politics. This is about the President of the United States, who doesn't like that a comedian had the freedom to make fun of him, pressuring a corporation that had business before the government to make sure that he was taken off the air."
The politician, 43, who ran for president in the 2020 Democratic primaries, continued: "There's something I want to say to any of the business leaders who are being dragged across one red line after the other, who are going along with it because they think it's going to help them or because they think it will get the Trump administration off their back. You need to understand that this is a one-way trip. That sooner or later, if you play this game, you will have even less room for maneuver in the future."

To conclude his video, Buttigieg warned, "They didn't stop at the law firms. They didn't stop at the universities. They didn't even stop with the comedians. They are not going to stop until they have total power. And if you try to ride this tiger as a business or organizational leader, sooner or later it will eat you."

Hunt sharing Buttigieg's remarks came on the heels of President Donald Trump praisingJimmy Kimmel Live! getting pulled. ABC made the move over Kimmel's comments after Kirk, a conservative activist and the founder of Turning Point USA, died after he was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University.
On Sept. 15, Kimmel addressed responses from Trump and his supporters on his late-night show.
“We had some new lows over the weekend,” Kimmel said. “With the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it.”

This wasn't the first time Hunt has weighed in on politics. In July, the Mad About You actress publicly endorsed Jocelyn Benson for the governor of Michigan in the 2026 election.
“Michigan, you have the fiercest, most qualified candidate running for Governor,” Hunt wrote on Instagram. “@jocelynbenson has put her life on the line for Americans her whole life. She walks the walk. Donate now to her campaign. 5 dollars?! It will make you feel more hopeful. The next Governor of Michigan!”
