A promotions team with Fort Collins’ New Belgium Brewing Co. is hitting the road this week behind the wheel of a 21-foot tanker truck made to look like a tallboy can of Voodoo Ranger Juice Force IPA, with plans for pitstops at stadiums, festivals and football tailgates in California, Colorado, Arizona and Texas.
“Juice Force is a rocket ship within our portfolio right now, and the Tanker is the perfect way to give it the attention it deserves,” Voodoo Ranger senior brand manager Michelle Robertson said in a news release. “The Juice Force Tanker Tour turns crushing beers with friends into a larger-than-life experience. Whether it’s a bar crawl, the tailgate before a game, or just catching sight of a tanker-sized tallboy barreling down the highway, it’s about serving up the wild antics Juice Force was made for.”
The Colorado leg of the tour starts Sept. 24 and includes stops at New Belgium’s Fort Collins headquarters and Baseline Liquors in Boulder. New Belgium and Voodoo Ranger are no strangers to publicity stunts. The popular India pale ale brand last year collaborated with Tombstone Pizza on a pizza-flavored I(Pizza)A.
