REAL MADRID have issued an update on the injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The England international joined Los Blancos in the summer after his contract expired at Liverpool.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, is now set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury in his leg.
He picked up the injury just FIVE MINUTES into the Champions League win over Marseille last night.
A statement said: “Following tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Medical Services on our player, Trent Alexander-Arnold, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg.
“Further updates will follow.”
The injury could keep Alexander-Arnold out of action for between six to eight weeks.
The blow comes as the former Red has struggled so far on the pitch since his arrival in Spain.
