The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly considering lodging an official complaint against India captain Suryakumar Yadav for making a 'political statement' during the post-match interview after the game against Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.
India and Pakistan locked horns against each other in Dubai on Sunday (September 14). While India completely outplayed Pakistan and won the game by seven wickets, their thumping victory was overshadowed by the 'no handshake' saga.
Indian players and the coaches refused to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts due to the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year.
Suryakumar Yadav snubbed Salman Ali Agha at the toss before he and his teammates did the same after the match as well. Agha subsequently skipped the post-match presentation ceremony.
After the match, Suryakumar also dedicated the win to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and to the Indian armed forces.
"Our government and BCCI, we were aligned together. The rest, we came here, we took a call. I feel we came here just to play the game. I think we gave them a proper reply. Few things in life are ahead of sportsman spirit. We stand with all the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and we stand with their families. As I said, we dedicate this win to our brave armed forces who took part in Operation Sindoor," said the Indian captain.

PCB to complain about Suryakumar Yadav
PCB has been furious since the Indian team refused the customary handshake on the field. Soon after the game ended, the board accused match referee Andy Pycroft of violating the code of conduct and lodged an official complaint against him to the ICC.
The PCB also threatened to pull out if Pycroft was not removed for the remainder of the Asia Cup.

After Pycroft, the PCB has now reportedly set its sights on Suryakumar Yadav. The final decision on the matter will be taken by PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi during a meeting on Wednesday (September 17).
