Chicago Blackhawks hockey is BACK! The Blackhawks 2025 training camp opens on Thursday, Sept. 18 at Fifth Third Arena, which means our long wait for the boys to be back on the ice is almost over.
The Blackhawks are going to be younger this year. We’re starting to see the transition to the next generation take place in front of our eyes, which makes the 2025-26 season the most exciting in recent years. There will be growing pains and learning moments, but the youth movement is starting to arrive.
We’ve got the full details for training camp for you all in one place — right here! New faces (and numbers), a busload of prospects taking part, and all of the practice dates and times if you feel like attending. So let’s get to it!
Important note: you do not need tickets to attend practices at Fifth Third Arena this year.

As I noted when the training camp roster was announced, the Blackhawks have invited 53 players to camp (30 forwards, 17 defensemen, 6 goalies). Obviously all of those players won’t be in the NHL.
There are a lot of Blackhawks prospects coming to camp, some for the first time. Some young players and prospects will be competing for NHL jobs this year; some (cough, Rinzel, cough) might feel like a lock to make the Blackhawks’ opening night roster.
Here’s the full list of players I still consider prospects who will be attending training camp in the coming weeks with their assigned numbers. One player, defenseman Ty Henry, does not have an assigned number and, unfortunately, is already injured.
