Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Abdulqader al-Hosuriyah, held talks with Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, Ayman bin Mohammed Al-Sayari, on ways to strengthen cooperation in the financial and banking services sector.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Money 20/20 Middle East conference in Riyadh, where the two sides discussed a range of topics, including technical and training support by the Saudi Central Bank for Syria in banking supervision, financial technology, payments, and monetary policy.
The talks also addressed cooperation in regulating money transfers and enhancing oversight measures in the financial sector. Both sides agreed to maintain ongoing communication and future bilateral visits.
Separately, Al-Hosuriyah held bilateral meetings with senior officials from several Saudi banks to explore opportunities for cooperation with the Saudi banking sector
