After teasing something new is coming over the last few days, Aerosmith announced on Monday, Sept. 15 that it has a new single on the way with Yungblud.

It comes after the young British singer/songwriter/actor joined forces with Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 7.
New collaboration revealed
The new collaboration on the song “My Only Angel” was revealed in post Monday, Sept. 15 on Instagram that was shared jointly on the official Yungblud and Aerosmith accounts.
features a short clip of Tyler and Yungblud sharing a microphone singing the new song, as well as a still photo with the pair with Perry. After the two singers complete their vocal take, Yungblud gives Tyler a kiss on the cheek as applause is heard in the studio. “Nice!” Tyler exclaims before adding, “F—kin’ a!” Yungblud chimes in with, “F—kin’ great, man!” and then Tyler looks into the camera and proclaims, “Hallelujah!”
Yungblud simply captioned the post with the song’s title, “My Only Angel,” but a link on both artists’ accounts leads to a “pre-save” page for the song on the six leading streaming services.
Fans on Instagram were thrilled by the news.
“I love how Steven put out his hand and grabbed the torch from Ozzy,” one fan wrote, referring to how Tyler performed at the “Back to the Beginning” Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath farewell concert in Birmingham, England and paid tribute to the late legend at the VMAs.
Others, however, noted that Tyler was a legend long before the Ozzy tributes.
“Steven has always carried his own torch. Greatest front man ever,” another fan wrote.
“Rock and roll is alive and kicking ?,” another fan noted.

Some thought Steven Tyler would never sing again
The news of the new single comes after some thought Tyler would never perform again.
Back in September 2023, Aerosmith postponed and later canceled their “Peace Out” farewell tour after singer Steven Tyler fractured his larynx. Ultimately, the band ended up announcing in 2024 they were retiring from touring since Tyler was unable to fully recover from the vocal cord injury.
Yet Tyler has been doing occasional one-off performances, including his highest-profile performance since the injury at the VMAs on Sept. 7 and on July 5 at the “Back to the Beginning” Ozzy Osbourne-Black Sabbath farewell concert in Birmingham, England.
Aside from the Instagram preview, a minute-long clip of the new song was posted on YouTube, where fans also enthusiastically greeted the news.
“Prayed for times like these. Seeing a new Aero-release in 2025 is a dream come true,” one fan posted.
“Ohh shit... I'm hoping my heart and brain can handle this brilliant collaboration. Aerosmith the Kings with yungblud is a f--king dream come true even at 70 years old I'm feeling 17 again. I saw Aerosmith playing in a campus parking lot at UConn in Connecticut and was instantly a life fan. The trip has been amazing for me seeing them around 50 times. I actually have had the pleasure of meeting them and they are down to earth and generous with the fans,” another posted.
