The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay at DIA at approximately 2:36 p.m. Saturday, and is expected to continue until 9 p.m., according to the agency. The FAA cited weather as the primary factor.

As of 6 p.m. Saturday, 317 flights headed in and out of DIA had been delayed and two were canceled, according to flight tracking software FlightAware.
According to FlightAware and the FAA, the average delay at DIA on Saturday evening was 33 minutes, with maximum delays approaching more than two hours.
United Airlines accounted for the majority of the delays with 119, and accounted for both cancellations. Southwest reported 89 delays, while SkyWest logged 76. Frontier and American Airlines each had nine delays.
Smaller carriers were also affected, including Alaska, Delta, Volaris, Air Canada, Key Lime Air, Contour, Envoy and Icelandair.
