Former HGTV stars Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson made a big announcement while celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary.
On September 11, Sherrod and Jackson uploaded a video where they celebrated being married for 15 years on Instagram, as reported by TV Insider. While the couple sipped on wine, Sherrod shared that she and Jackson had a "big announcement." She said that she and her husband wanted to "show how grateful [they] are for all the years of support" from fans by doing "a give back."
Sherrod and Jackson explained that they will remodel a house for a deserving individual. The design process will be filmed and uploaded to the couple's YouTube Channel.
"And at every 50,000 subscribers, every time we hit 50k, we’re gonna drop another episode of it. That means somebody else is getting a deserving design," continued Sherrod.

TV Insider reported that Sherrod and Jackson announced that their HGTV series, Married to Real Estate, which premiered in 2022, wasn't getting a fifth season in June 2025.
In a June 2025 Instagram upload, Sherrod shared that it wasn't her or her husband's decision to depart the network. In addition, she said while the situation was "disheartening," she and Jackson were "deeply grateful" for their time filming Married to Real Estate, their crew, their business, and their marriage.
According to TV Insider, like Married to Real Estate, quite a few HGTV shows, such as Bargain Block, Farmhouse Fixer, and Izzy Does It, were recently cancelled.
Egypt Sherrod & Mike Jackson Discussed The Secret to Their Relationship
Sherrod and Jackson, who share two children, Kendall and Harper Skye, discussed the secret to their long-lasting relationship in a February 2024 interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Sherrod said that she and her husband have made an effort to "keep [their marriage] fun."
"You gotta keep it sexy," said Sherrod during the interview.
Jackson agreed with his wife, stating, "Keep it fun, keep it sexy, keep it spontaneous. This is the way we keep liking each other."
In addition, Sherrod, who is the stepmother to her husband's eldest child, Simone, shared how she and Jackson began dating two decades ago. She said they were introduced while she was a "radio personality" and he was a "Club DJ." Sherrod said while she "would flirt" with Jackson, she was guarded around him because she believed he would cause "headache and heartache."
She said they eventually got closer when she was flipping a house and fired her contractors after a disagreement. Sherrod said she asked her mentor to get her another contractor, who ended up being Jackson.
