Erin Bates' husband, Chad Paine, shared an update from the hospital amid his wife's life-threatening health scare after giving birth to baby No. 7.
On Friday, Sept. 12, the Bringing Up Bates star took to Instagram with a carousel of photos and a message to fans during this trying time for their family.

"We have been completely overwhelmed by the love and support of family and friends during this difficult season," Chad wrote. "From watching the kids and taking them on adventures, to helping with baby Henry and lifting Erin up with encouragement—you have carried us in ways we can’t even put into words."
He concluded, "We don’t know how to say thank you enough, but we are truly, deeply grateful. ❤️."
For the featured image, Erin lay in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask as family members stood beside her while holding her hands. Other shots showed her mother, Kelly Jo Bates, holding Erin and Chad's newborn son, Henry, as well as her father, Gil Bates, posing with his newest grandchild next to Kelly Jo. Many other pictures featured Chad and Erin's older kids, who were being cared for by family members while Erin remained hospitalized.
In addition to Henry, Chad and Erin have four daughters, Brooklyn, 8, Everly, 7, Holland, 5, and Finley, 3, and two sons, Charles Steven IV, 10, and William, 20 months.

Followers and family members flooded Erin with well-wishes and continued prayers in the comments, with her younger sister, Josie Bates, writing, "You are so loved!! ??? Continuing to pray for your recovery and healing!"
Erin's brother, Lawson Bates, commented, "We love you all! Continuing to lift you up in prayer daily ??."Another Instagram user shared, "Thank you Jesus for loving Erin and her family. On Aug. 25, Erin delivered Henry, but soon suffered health complications. She developed a “severe UTI” and a kidney infection, resulting in septic shock and an ICU stay. Later, Erin also suffered a “lengthy and severe seizure.“
Chad shared a hopeful update on Sept. 6, writing, “With tears in our eyes, we are praising the Lord that we are on the road to recovery. ❤️?. Your prayers have definitely touched heaven. ??.”
For his most recent health update on Sept. 9, Chad announced that Erin was transferred to a different hospital as she continues her recovery.
