Home Town star Erin Napier has found herself at the center of a storm after sharing a simple, faith-driven message on her Instagram stories: "Only the demonized celebrate death." The HGTV favorite — who, alongside her husband Ben, has built an empire on warmth, charm and small-town renovations — is now being bombarded with angry messages because she refused to cheer the death of conservative pundit Charlie Kirk.

Fans Threatening Boycotts
One person told Napier they would throw away her books and candles, unfollow her on all platforms, and stop watching Home Town. Napier captioned it bluntly:
"Because I will not celebrate murder."
Another commenter chastised her for homeschooling her children in Mississippi, writing, "You are homeschooling your precious children in LAUREL, MS (of all places) to prevent something like this from happening to them. This guy was ALL FOR IT. He died for what he believed in. God have mercy on his soul because I do not.

They then quoted Kirk’s own words after the 2023 Nashville school shooting, where he defended the cost of gun deaths as "a prudent deal" for Second Amendment rights.
Napier clapped back, calling the commenter a "sick goblin" and rejecting the idea that her decision to homeschool had anything to do with school shootings, writing, "You know nothing about why I am homeschooling my children, you sick goblin."
Napier shares two daughters with husband Ben — Helen, 7, and Mae, 4.
Other messages took a softer but still pointed tone. One follower wrote, "Thanks for making an unfollow easy peasy," while another admitted they wouldn’t celebrate Kirk’s death but wouldn’t offer “thoughts and prayers either.” Napier’s response to all of them remained the same:
