Sachin Tendulkar shares horrific experience!! Plane stranded in storm-hit Maasai Mara

From Sachin Tendulkar, the Little Master for India with the bat, to Sachin Tendulkar, the traveller, the legendary Indian has come a long way since his retirement back in 2013. After 24 years of international cricket around the globe, the Mumbaikar has often been seen on his international as well as national tours, and one such tour to Africa seemed to have ended in a complete mess.

Cricketers and former cricketers have reflected on their personal lives outside of the field through social media platforms and have often given insights into their lives outside the field. One of the greatest to have done so has been the former legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

On Friday, Sachin Tendulkar shared one such video from one of his tours to the African continent, which took place back in 2023. In the video, Sachin can be spotted standing beneath a shade with a small plane behind him.

He went on to explain that he was left stranded in the middle of the Maasai Mara, one of the world's most famous game reserves in Kenya, because of the storm.

"We were inside the aircraft, and you could see the storm approaching. Originally, we were supposed to land exactly where that storm is now. We were just about two miles away from the landing strip, but due to the bad weather, we couldn't land," Tendulkar said in the video

"We had to try landing elsewhere, but this new runway had wildebeest all over it. So, we came down low twice, just to scare them off, then took off again. Eventually, the runway was cleared, and we managed to land safely."

Tendulkar rejected the BCCI Presidentship role

Recently, the former legendary cricketer was linked with an appointment in the role of the BCCI President. After the former president, Roger Binny, was sacked from the position due to his age having passed the advisable limit of 70 years.

The Indian legend's firm issued the statement on his behalf to put to rest theories of him being a possible successor for the role and firmly rejected the rumours from the social media campaigners.

Even the BCCI officials were left clueless about the speculations since they had no information about any such development within the BCCI. However, indications are firm that any former cricketer might be roped into the role.

Sachin Tendulkar has been sidelined from the game since 2013

The legendary cricketer played for Team India for 24 years, from his debut in 1989 to his retirement in 2013. He has had the most remarkable career as a batter, having made monumental records across all formats of the game.

With 34000+ international runs for the batter and a record of 100 centuries, Sachin has retired from all formats of the game. He has since then sidelined himself from all forms of competitive cricket and has not taken up any managerial role with Indian team in the meantime.
