Hostess fans thought they had it made when its Maple Glazed Donettes returned, but now they're really celebrating with the return of more seasonal goodies.
The iconic brand of snack cakes is welcoming fall with the seasonal return of its limited-edition pumpkin spice flavor, which transforms two fan-favorite Hostess products into a festive and cozy snack-sized treat.
While a pumpkin spice-flavored coffee cake or cinnamon roll would certainly be delicious, those didn't make the cut for Hostess' fall rollout (at least not this year, but there's always hope). That said, two other favorites did earn a little fall refresh again this year: Hostess Cupcakes and Twinkies.

Hostess Twinkies Pumpkin Spice flavor is "THE flavor of fall," or so says the snack company. Consumers appear to largely agree, with one taking to social media to gush over the limited-edition treat, exclaiming, "These were surprisingly good!"

"The cake wasn’t dry and the filling wasn’t blasted with an artificial pumpkin spice flavor, it was actually pretty light and not overpowering," the Reddit user added.
"Okay so these are up next after I finish my round of snacks I have now," someone else explained, asking, "are [they] def worth it!?" To which the original poster replied, "I thought so! I’d buy these again."
One more agreed, calling them "delicious."

According to an official description, the fall-inspired treat features the same "fluffy golden cake" as the original Twinkie, just with a "creamy pumpkin spice flavored filling" in place of the expected vanilla cream for the "ultimate autumnal experience."
Its Iced Pumpkin Cupcakes take the soft snack cake fans have come to expect from Hostess and sprinkle in a little pumpkin flavor before adding the classic creamy center filling. They don't appear to be as popular as the seasonal Twinkies, but fans are still raving over them as the treats currently sit at a 4.6-star rating on Google.
"I rarely ever buy snack cakes but this intrigued me, and I’m glad I did!" one wrote, noting that the cupcakes "remind me of Krispy Kreme’s pumpkin spice doughnuts. It’s a great dessert for the fall season. I’d definitely buy again."
A second called them a "wonderful fall tradition."
Both the Pumpkin Spice Twinkies and Iced Pumpkin Cupcakes are now available in eight-count boxes of individually wrapped treats at major retailers nationwide. So far, the items have been spotted at Kroger, Market 32, Pick 'N Save, ShopRite, and Walmart.
