Jinger Duggar and Lydia Plath are not only reality stars who have been featured on TLC, but their families also shared a "random" Thanksgiving food tradition.
During the Wednesday, September 10, episode of the "Jinger & Jeremy" podcast, Duggar, 31, and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, sat down with Plath, 21, and her husband, Zac Wyse, to answer questions from listeners.
“We didn't have too many traditions, like, that lasted my entire childhood,” Plath revealed during the Q&A. “Like we had our Thanksgiving tradition for like six years, so we would rent a beach house and my grandparents, everyone would come to the beach for a week and we would have grandma's lasagna for Thanksgiving meal.”
Plath said that the celebration was "the best thing in the world,” adding, "But that wasn't necessarily, you know, a tradition that's carried on for 20 years.”
Duggar quickly chimed in to say that she “loved” that the Plath’s had lasagna for the holiday instead of the tradition turkey. “I feel like that's just like a random thing to do for Thanksgiving,” she said. “Like you're not having a turkey, you know, the stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes, you're having lasagna. And I love that because lasagna is good.”

“My family had lasagna for maybe a Thanksgiving or two, but probably more so we would do it most Christmas or, like, special holidays,” Duggar recalled of her own large family. “Like on Easter, we'd eat lasagna and it wasn't homemade. Are you ready for this? Stouffer's frozen lasagna. It’s actually very good. And it was my childhood. That was my childhood.”
Vuolo, 38, then shared that his dad used to buy Stouffer’s lasagnas in bulk, which made Plath reply a hilarious response. “That sounds amazing and I’m really happy for you, but I don’t think I ever had store-bought lasagna until I was, like, 15," she said.
Both Duggar and Plath come from large families. While Duggar is one of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar's 19 children, Plath is one of Kim Plath and Barry Plath's 10 children.
