Damascus, SANA- Minister of Health Musab al-Ali discussed on Thursday the investment opportunities in Syria’s healthcare sector with Steve Lutes, Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce, and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting addressed the current state of the healthcare sector and the challenges it faces, as well as investment opportunities and digital transformation.
Minister al-Ali noted the government’s willingness to provide the necessary facilities for investors in the health sector, in addition to building hospitals and developing medical tourism in Syria.
The American delegation stressed the importance of investment and cooperation in the Syrian health sector, through providing equipment and medicines, developing infrastructure, and organizing visits by American companies to familiarize themselves with the Syrian market, in addition to providing humanitarian donations.
Additionally, the delegation proposed that the Ministry cooperate with technology security companies to develop the electronic health system and invited Minister Al-Ali to visit the United States to meet with technology companies specializing in the health sector.
