The first installment of the Week 2 Chicago Bears injury report came later than we’re accustomed to around here, but I suppose that (some of) the news from it is worth the wait.
Chicago Bears Injury Report — September 10, 2025
Let’s get this out of the way from the top: Wednesday’s Bears injury report is an estimated one because it was a walk-through. A walk-through on a Wednesday afternoon after an appearance on Monday Night Football is normal. Now that we’ve got that squared away, let’s discuss the latest.
Cornerback Jaylon Johnson was a full participant on the estimated injury report. It is his first full designation on an injury report this year and a noteworthy piece of news when you consider that he began the year on the non-football injury list since the start of training camp. Johnson was a limited participant in the practices leading up to Week 1, but did not play due to calf and groin injuries. If Jaylon can string together two more full participation practices, then I will expect to see him suit up for his 2025 debut on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

After quarterback Caleb Williams threw a hospital ball at Moore on MNF, I had a moment in which I wasn’t sure the talented wideout would be back in the game. But Moore did return to action. No more of those, please.
DETROIT LIONS WEEK 2 INJURY REPORT
Had the team practiced on Wednesday, it would have been without two key players who had DNP designations. Cornerback Kyler Gordon (hamstring) and defensive tackle Grady Jarrett (knee) show up as players who would not have practiced on the estimated Bears injury report. Gordon was a late add to the injury report on Sunday and did not play in the season-opening loss to the Vikings. Jarrett played 82 percent of the defensive snaps on MNF, so I’m hoping that this was just a rest day for the 32-year-old defensive lineman.
The following players were listed as limited on the Wednesday Bears injury report: Linebacker T.J. Edwards (hamstring), cornerback Josh Blackwell (groin), running back Roschon Johnson (foot), and wide receiver Jahdae Walker (ankle). That counts as back-to-back limited participation practices for Roschon, who did not practice on Thursday and Friday last week. Perhaps this is a sign that the arrow is pointing in the right direction. I’ll feel better about Edwards’ status if he can put a second consecutive limited participation practice on the board. Edwards didn’t practice at all last week.
