DENVER (KDVR) -- Jefferson County authorities said there are reports of an "active assailant" near Evergreen High School on Wednesday afternoon.
Jefferson County 911 said in a post on X at 12:40 p.m. that people with kids at the school should not go to the school as it is "still an active scene." The agency said it will announce a reunification point as soon as possible.
The county sent out an "urgent lookout alert" to people in the area, saying that there was an "active shooter" reported at the school.
