Royal Caribbean's second 'Icon Class' ship, Star of the Seas, made waves in August, officially embarking from Port Canaveral, Florida, as the world's largest cruise ship at sea. Now, the fourth 'Icon Class' ship also has a new milestone to report.
According to Royal Caribbean's press site, the cruise line hosted a keel-laying ceremony at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, where the first block of the ship was lifted and placed on top of a layer of freshly minted coins for the forthcoming vessel.
The fourth 'Icon Class' cruise is scheduled to set sail sometime in 2027. While boat design details are still TBD, Royal Caribbean hints at features to come. "Each bold adventure brings together plenty of ways forevery type of family and vacationers to make memories across adrenaline-pumping thrills and unmatched ways to chill, a variety of ways to dine and drink, and more," it said in a statement.

The new ship has not been named yet, but fans are buzzing with guesses.
