The Hunting Wives star Chrissy Metz decided she had "the time" to give one of her critics some feedback. The alum from This Is Us addressed the "trolls" who have been commenting on her weight, and she did not hold back.
Metz posted several new videos on her TikTok page throughout the day on September 8, and fans made it clear they had her back. In the first, she talked about how much pressure there is for women's bodies to look a certain way. She joked that her body is shaped like a mason jar and gave a handful of reasons why this was a good thing.
The next TikTok video was longer, and Metz quipped that she even put her hair up for this one. "First things first on the real list. When the hair goes up, you know it's about to go down, okay?"
Metz noted that she doesn't "normally partake in tomfoolery, buffoonery, nonsensical nonsense, people who comment, who don't even follow me, who could [not] care less about me, what I do, what my body looks like, for any other reason aside from tr-tr-tr-tr-trolling."
She referenced someone's comment, and it happened to be one that was left on her mason jar video. Metz shared that the person suggested that "society has just allowed people to get ginormous with no backlash."
Metz admitted she thought that particular critic "missed the point," and she didn't really know where to begin in responding.
@chrissymetzI had the time.

Metz continued, "If I was underweight, you probably wouldn't have said a word, right? Because when people are thin and unhealthy, that's not your concern, because outwardly, thin equates health. We know the difference."

She added that accepting "my body for what it is right now" means she has confidence in herself and finds "the positives and the good things about whatever my body looks like in this moment in time."
Metz questioned why the critic was so bothered by what she'd expressed in her previous post. "My thing is, when you truly love yourself and you are confident and you feel good, you don't come onto someone's comment section and try to diminish what they've said."
"I would lovingly suggest for you to do some inner work and really just ask yourself, did that comment make you feel better about yourself? Was it helpful? Was it constructive? Did someone's life change in a positive way because of what you said?"
Both TikTok posts received a flood of comments from fans who loved what Metz had to say.
One person noted, "We seriously need to normalize not commenting on other people's bodies!"
Another commented, "Wow! Even when you had the chance to just wipe the floor... you were kind. You Chrissy, are pure class! In a world full of 'her,' be a Chrissy! Beautiful inside & out!!!"
"Your comment was classy, hilarious, and truthful. Thanks for attempting to educate the trolls," someone else added.
