LYONS, N.Y. — A 29-year-old man is facing charges after Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies say he tried to bribe them and threatened to kill them.
Deputies say on Monday at around 7 p.m. during an investigation, they were trying to take another person into custody when Christopher Huffman offered to pay the deputies to let the person go.
They then placed Huffman into custody, where they say he then threatened to kill them. Huffman was charged with bribery in the third degree and harassment in the second degree.
Huffman was brought to Wayne County Jail and will appear in Lyons Town Court on a later date.
