Good Morning America anchor and contributor Lara Spencer made an exciting announcement on Tuesday, September 9 — she is launching her own reality competition series in 2026 called That Thrifting Show with Lara Spencer. It will air on Freeform and Hulu. Spencer will be the host and also an executive producer on the project.
"In the 12-episode series, vintage design expert Lara Spencer presents two designer duos with identical rooms. With limited time and budget, teams must treasure hunt for vintage and thrift store finds to design their way to beautiful, layered, finished rooms. It’s style and sustainability in a race against the clock," reads the official announcement.

“It is so meaningful to share my childhood love of thrifting and celebrate this new generation’s passion for sustainable design,” said Spencer in a statement. “As you will see on ‘That Thrifting Show,’ there are so many incredible treasures out there, just waiting to be reimagined and given a new life. To see the rooms these designers create with their thrifted finds is aspirational and simply amazing.”
In addition to her work on Good Morning America, Spencer was the creator of the primetime game show It's Worth What?, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, and then Spencer went on to create and host two other DIY shows, I Brake for Yard Sales on HGTV and Flea Market Flip on Great American Country.
It sounds like That Thrifting Show will share some similarities with Flea Market Flip. Back in early July, Spencer teased her "new project" on her Instagram stories, sharing a photo of a plethora of home decor items and writing, "If you’re wondering what I’m doing with all of this stuff, stay tuned! New project coming. And all I’ll say is if you liked Flea Market Flip, you’re gonna be very happy."
