Hall of Famer Randy Moss made huge strides in his cancer journey over the weekend. The former wide receiver and NFL analyst officially completed his cancer treatment and was able to "ring the bell" at The Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina to commemorate the moment. The health center shared the joyous video on Saturday, September 6, much to the delight of Moss fans everywhere.

"I am a cancer survivor," he proudly stated after thanking the hospital and staff. "Some trying times, of course, but, you know, we made it through. And for that I thank you all."
Fans poured in prayers and well wishes at the happy news.
"No better feeling than ringing that bell," wrote one fan.
"Randy Moss showing love and gratitude to the hospital staff, truly inspiring vibes here," noted another.
"Handled it just like he handled football. Always a legend. Sincerely, a Lions fan," added another.
Moss also made a triumphant return to his spot on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown after stepping away from his duties to "focus on a personal health challenge" prior to publicly announcing his diagnosis. He appeared between Rex Ryan and Alex Smith and alongside co-host Mike Greenberg and Tedy Bruschiafter showing the video.
"It was just a great day, man, shout out and love to my doctors, I remember seeing you guys on Super Bowl Sunday, and that was one of my goals to get here, and now all my treatment is over, ringing the bell, back with the family, man,” Moss said, according to the New York Post.
Moss Was First Diagnosed in 2024 With Stage 2 Bile Duct Cancer
He had a stent placed in his liver, underwent a Whipple procedure, and endured both chemotherapy and radiation in order to go into remission.
Recently Moss spoke with Good Morning America co-anchor and cancer survivor Robin Roberts about his first symptoms, which presented as jaundiced yellow eyes and dark-colored urine.
"I just think that when you live your life, you know, a certain type of way of, you know, eating right, taking care of your health, and all of a sudden you get diagnosed with cancer ... I was overwhelmed," Moss confessed. "It hit like a ton of bricks."
Fortunately for Moss, the worst seems to be behind him as he charges forward with the 2025-2026 season.
