RuPaul's Drag Race fans will not be disappointed when the reality show returns for Season 18 — at least that’s what Ts Madison is promising.
The 47-year-old, who has been a permanent judge on RPDR since Season 15, teased new details about the upcoming 18th season while chatting with Parade on the red carpet at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
“Well, I know that I judged this season, and I do feel that this was a great season, but this upcoming season, honey, is a gag!” Madison said on the VMAs carpet. “Season 18 is gonna gag the girls, I promise you.”

Madison then went on to chat about the upcoming season of All Stars, before saying, “Wait! Have they announced that yet? Cut!”
While we don’t have much information yet regarding Season 18 of the US main series, the upcoming seasons of Drag Race and All Stars should both have filmed in late spring and early summer.
There is no official premiere date for Season 18 yet, and fans most likely won’t know the exact date until late 2025. However, the last five seasons have all premiered in early January, so it seems likely that Season 18 will drop its first episode either on Jan. 2 or Jan. 8, 2026, unless the typical schedule changes.
Season 18 of RuPaul’s Drag Race will likely air yet again air on MTV. And while the judging panel for Season 18 has yet to be announced, it will likely include RuPaul and Michelle Visage alongside some rotating combination of Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, Madison and Law Roach, who were the Season 17 regular judges. In addition, the show typically welcomes guest judges each week.

Madison was one of the attendees at this year’s VMAs at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, N.Y.
Performers at the 2025 VMAs include Sabrina Carpenter and Benson Boone, among others. The recipient of the 2025 Video Vanguard Award is Mariah Carey. The prestigious Vanguard award recognizes artists who have made significant contributions to music videos and popular culture.
