College students can now join in on the Costco fun without breaking the bank.
To lower the membership fee for a certain generation, the wholesale corporation has teamed up with UNiDAYS for an all-new deal.
Per the terms, it's only available to students over the age of 16 — but those who enroll as a new Costco member will get a $20 digital gift card that can be applied to future purchases made during the first year of membership, as Real Simple noted.
The catch? As stated above, the rare deal is only available through UNiDAYS, so potential new memberships must download and register with the app, in order to verify that they're currently a student.
For those not familiar, UNiDAYS provides student-focused offers, discount codes and savings on household-name brands.
There is additional fine print in the offer, as Real Simple noted, since students who join via UNiDAYS must join as a Gold Star Member and enroll in auto-renewal.
Meanwhile, students who join can enjoy the perks of being given two membership cards, which they can use at any Costco store or online. Orders at Costco's website can even be delivered directly to campuses, as Real Simple noted.
Teachers and faculty are also able to join in on the discounted fun — though the terms are slightly different. In their case, anyone who registers with UNiDAYS must join as an Executive Member for $130 per year and enroll in auto-renewal, and they will earn a $40 Costco gift card.
