Madison Ensing from Zeeland, Michigan has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Arizona beginning in fall 2026.

Ensing swims for Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics out of Holland, Michigan. She finished her summer long course season at Sectionals in Columbus. There she was highlighted by a personal best in the 400 free as she swam to an 11th place finish in a 4:26.71.
Her time in the 400 free translated well from short course season as she swam a lifetime best 4:54.71 500 free back in March at the Michigan ULTRA Championships (state championships). That swim was a huge drop from her previous lifetime best of a 5:03.18 in the 500 free.
Ensing is in her senior year and competes for Zeeland High Schools. She swam to two Division I (big schools) state titles last November. She swam to a 22.94 in the 50 free and a 50.11 in the 100 free. She also had a notably split of a 49.41 on the team’s 400 free relay.
Ensing’s Best SCY Times:
50 free: 22.90 100 free: 50.11 200 free: 1:50.03 500 free: 4:54.71The Arizona women finished 2nd at the 2025 Big 12 Championships with 1240 points, 455 points behind conference champions Arizona State. The Arizona women went on to finish 29th at 2025 NCAAs with 20 total points. The team just finished up its first season under head coach Ben Loorz.
Based on her best times, Ensing has the potential to make an immediate impact upon her arrival. Her best time in the 50 and 100 freestyles would have made the Big 12 ‘B’ final while her best time in the 500 free would have made the conference ‘C’ final. The Arizona women had three ‘A’ finalists in the 50 free and four in the 100 free this past season at Big 12s.
Ensing will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2030 along with Pilar King, Kingsley Rosevold, Lucy Flynn, Lyla Lusk, Samantha Anderson, and Macey deGroot.
