The winning tickets for the massive jackpot, one of the largest in the game’s history, were sold in Missouri and Texas, according to Powerball officials.
The official jackpot for the drawing came in at $1.787 billion. According to officials, each of the tickets will earn their holders either an annuitized prize of just under $900 million or a lump sum payment of $410.3 million.
Even though the massive jackpot was claimed, Illinois residents still got in on the fun, as two tickets in the state were sold that won $1 million prizes, matching the five regular numbers in Saturday’s drawing.
In all, 18 tickets had matched those numbers, with residents in Kansas and Texas capturing a $2 million prize thanks to the drawing’s Power Play multiplier.
The winning numbers in the drawing were 11-23-44-61-62 and a Powerball of 17, according to the Powerball’s website.
With the jackpot having been won, the game reverts back to its standard starting prize of $20 million for Monday’s drawing.
