Big Brother 27's players have given us plenty of moments to "expect the unexpected." But just as the remaining 9 houseguests thought they had settled into the endgame by reaching the jury, the "Mastermind" returned with a brand-new twist. According to a blurb on the Big Brother: Unlocked companion show, after taking Sunday off due to the VMAs, the show will come back in a major way on Tuesday night. The houseguests will arrive at the "White Locust Resort," where one of them will not check out, going out in a "surprise elimination."

When the feeds finally came back up, fans scoured every room to see who was the person missing. And, shockingly, they found Rachel was no longer there, apparently “sacrificed” at the White Locust. After spending 8 weeks avoiding ever being nominated, the former winner was taken out after not being able to finish a competition, sending her to the jury.
What is the Big Brother 27 surprise elimination twist?
From what we hear, the “White Locust” twist was a version of a very popular competition seen in the 2023 spinoff Big Brother: Reindeer Games. One person had to finish an individual challenge in a certain amount of time. They would then pick the next person, who had to finish the same challenge in less time. The first person who is not able to finish in their allotted time is eliminated.
