(KRON) -- Gilroy police said an armed man robbed a US Bank Friday evening and ran off with an unknown amount of money.

"The pictured suspect went into the bank armed with a handgun, approached the teller and demanded money," police confirmed in a social media post.

"Gilroy, do you recognize this man?...We are searching for any witnesses or anyone with information to his identity," said police.
