The FBI is asking for help in hunting down a serial bank robber who is wanted for numerous attempted and successful heists in the Chicago area since early May.
A $5,000 reward for information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of the unknown man, the FBI said in a release, adding that additional reward money may be available.
The man has successfully robbed four banks since May 2025, the FBI said. He attempted two other bank robberies in the same time frame but was not successful.
All of the incidents occurred between 9 and 10 a.m. at banks in Chicago.
Just before 10 a.m. May 9, the unknown suspect attempted to rob the Fifth Third Bank at 5918 North Broadway Avenue while wearing a black knit hat with “Nike” on the cuff, a black hooded sweatshirt with a light-colored shirt underneath, light-colored sweatpants and dark-colored shoes, the FBI said.
The man attempted a second robbery around 9:30 a.m. on May 14 at the US Bank located at 5340 North Clark Street. He was again wearing a black knit hat with “Nike” on the cuff, a black sweatshirt, light-colored sweatpants and dark-colored shoes, the FBI said.
Around 9:30 a.m. the next day, the man successfully robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 2973 North Milwaukee Avenue while wearing a dark colored baseball hat, a back zip-up sweatshirt with a light-colored shirt underneath, dark-colored shorts and dark-colored shoes, according to the FBI.
The man successfully robbed the Huntington Bank at 1400 West Fullerton around 9:30 a.m. June 2, according to the FBI. Then, around 12 p.m. later that day, he robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 5918 North Broadway in Chicago. In both robberies, he wore a black hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head, a black face covering, black pants, black shoes with white soles and carried a red drawstring bag, the FBI said.
His most recent robbery occurred just after 9 a.m. Aug. 27 at the Huntington Bank at 1400 West Fullerton Avenue. He wore a black cap, black face covering, light-colored hoodie, black pants, black shoes and carried a white bag.
The man should be considered armed and dangerous, the FBI warned.
