Fans of the reality television show Bringing Up Bates have been eager for updates on one of the family's daughters after her husband asked for prayers. Erin Bates Paine recently delivered her seventh child. Soon after the baby's arrival, her husband, Chad Paine, revealed she was in the ICU at the hospital with sepsis.
Until the evening of September 4, Chad had not returned to Instagram with any additional updates. Fans in the show's subreddit have been keeping a close eye on everybody's social media pages, noting they were increasingly worried about Erin. A post from one of Erin's sisters, and a video recording from the family's church, signaled that Erin's condition continued to be worrisome.
On September 4, Erin's sister, Michael Bates Keilen, shared photos of the newborn on her Instagram page. She thanked everybody who had been praying for Erin and the entire Bates family. "We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love, concern and prayer," she wrote.
Michael did not provide any new information on Erin's condition. She did note, however, "Henry is an absolute angel baby and we are completely in love with him."

"Henry is precious! We are praying so much and so happy you could meet precious baby & be there for [the] Paine family," wrote Tiffany Espensen Bates, who is married to Lawson Bates.
Whitney Bates, who is married to Erin's brother Zach, added, "We're continuing to send Erin all our love and praying so hard for her."
Lawson commented, "Love these photos and so happy you got to visit and support Erin during this time. We're all continuing to pray for her total healing."
Family Asked the Church to Pray for Erin Bates Paine
An additional update came via Erin and Chad's church. A Bringing Up Bates fan shared a video from the service that took place on September 3 on Reddit, and the minister read a text message from from the family.
The minister shared that Erin experienced a seizure and was briefly unresponsive. The message indicated that Chad was on his way to the hospital to learn more.
"She was doing much better and was supposed to be discharged tomorrow. So please ask the church tonight to pray for Erin Paine."

One fan on Reddit responded to the video by commenting, "If she was scheduled to be released that sounds like the infection was under control. The seizure could have a variety of causes, but I also feel cautiously optimstic about the sepsis."
"Let's pray she was unresponsive momentarily then came around. Lots of people are unresponsive after a seizure. Hopefully the sepsis is under control. We can only hope," another fan wrote.
Soon after the church video was shared on Reddit, Chad shared a new update on Instagram. He referenced the seizure and confirmed Erin was still in the ICU. Doctors are running tests and Erin is weak and "only half conscious."
