The award is named after Payton who played for the Chicago Bears from 1975-1987 and is widely regarded as one of the best players ever.

Prescott won the honour in 2022 for his ‘community service off the field, as well as his excellence on the field’.

Prescott won the trophy three years ago and last year Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Arik Armstead claimed it.

Other winners in the last decade include NFL legends JJ Watt, Russell Wilson and Eli Manning.

Wilson will also been donning the special patch along with Prescott during the 2025/26 season.

Prescott is looking to get the richest sports franchise in the world into the playoffs and to Super Bowl glory this campaign.

And he’s trying to do it while wearing his unique logo and earning a record-setting annual salary of $60million.
