ENGLAND fans will have to dig deep into their pockets after Fifa have confirmed it will use controversial Oasis-style dynamic pricing for next summer’s World Cup.
Fans will have three chances to get their hands on a ticket, starting with a lottery on September 10 which requires a visa card for purchase.
Tickets start at £45 ($60) but could cost as much as £5,000 ($6,730) for the final – four times the cost of the most expensive 2022 World Cup final ticket.
Fifa also confirmed they will use “variable pricing” for all 104 matches for the first time at a World Cup, though the costs of each clash is still yet to be finalised.
That could see prices soar for England and other matches after the December 5 draw in Washington DC that will confirm the tournament schedule.
A Fifa official said: “We will adapt prices as per the demand we see, as per the remaining Inventory.
“While we have committed to the starting point we will apply variable pricing from day one of the process.
“We do not intend at all to change prices every five minutes,”
Members of the official England supporters clubs who get tickets from the FA’s fixed allocation are expected to be charged the starting cost price for seats in all four ticket categories.
But with thousands of additional fans expected to travel to back the Three Lions, they will be more exposed to the pricing model, which is standard for major events in the USA.

Fans successful in the initial lottery will be given a chance to buy tickets in October.
Up to 40 tickets will be made available – four per match for ten matches.
A second window will then open up from October until December for fans to get their hands on tickets.
Then after the draw supporters will be able to enter another lottery for tickets based on a first come first serve basis.
Games will be split up into four categories with Category 1 the most expensive.
