Rams 2025 schedule: Game-by-game breakdown and predictions

With the Rams set to open their season Sunday, here’s a look at the 2025 schedule and some predictions for how the year will go (all times PT):

Sept. 7: Houston Texans, 1:25 p.m., SoFi Stadium

With quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) and left tackle Alaric Jackson (blood clots) expected to start in the season opener, the biggest mismatch on the field becomes the Rams’ whirling pass rush vs. the Texans’ remade offensive line. That bodes well for the Rams to start the season with a win.

    Prediction: Win, 1-0.

Sept. 14: Tennessee Titans, 10 a.m., Nissan Stadium

The Titans are a long ways from contention and don’t really pose any serious mismatches for the Rams, who stand to start a season 2-0 for the first time since 2021.

    Prediction: Win, 2-0.

Sept. 21: Philadelphia Eagles, 10 a.m., Lincoln Financial Field

This will be a measuring stick for the Rams and whether they are ready to compete for an NFC title. The path runs through Philadelphia, and the Rams lost twice to the Eagles last season, including a heartbreaker in the NFC divisional round. If the Rams’ run defense behind Nate Landman and Poona Ford is truly fixed, they have the chance to make a Week 3 statement.

    Prediction: Loss, 2-1.

Week 4: vs. Indianapolis Colts, Sept. 28, 1:05 p.m., SoFi Stadium

This is another game where stopping the run will be imperative, but if the Rams can get the Colts into some third-and-longs, the defense should be able to capitalize against quarterback Daniel Jones and crew.

    Prediction: Win, 3-1.

    Oct. 2: San Francisco 49ers, 5:15 p.m., SoFi Stadium

The 49ers have a completely revamped defense, but the real question entering this week will be if any of the various injured receivers and running backs on their roster will be ready to return off injured reserve in Week 5 to give the offense a boost. This one is hard to predict, especially on a short week, but here’s thinking the Rams are the more cohesive team at this point in the season.

    Prediction: Win, 4-1.

    Oct. 12: Baltimore Ravens, 10 a.m., M&T Bank Stadium

Bad things tend to happen for the Rams when they face Lamar Jackson. The Rams’ pass rush is deeper than it was the last time these teams faced in 2023, but Jackson is a different beast.

    Prediction: Loss, 4-2.

Oct. 19: Jacksonville Jaguars, 6:30 a.m., Wembley Stadium (London)

A week likely spent in Maryland ahead of the trip to London will mean eight days in hotels before the Rams finally face the Jaguars. But Jacksonville figures to still be in the midst of a rebuild this season, particularly on defense, which should allow the Rams to put up some points and enter the bye week on a positive note.

    Prediction: Win, 5-2.

    Oct. 26: BYE

Nov. 2: New Orleans Saints, 1:05 p.m., SoFi Stadium

We saw these two teams compete in a joint practice last month. The Saints’ offensive line looked completely dejected walking off the field. Expect more of the same.

    Prediction: Win, 6-2.

    Nov. 9: San Francisco 49ers, 1:25 p.m., Levi’s Stadium

The 49ers should be healthier and have a better understanding of who they are as a team than they did when the in-state rivals met in Week 5. Combined with the change in location, expect a different result.

    Prediction: Loss, 6-3.

Nov. 16: Seattle Seahawks, 1:05 p.m., SoFi Stadium

The Cooper Kupp return to SoFi Stadium will get all the headlines, but the real question is will the Seahawks be able to keep quarterback Sam Darnold safe. If not, this game could look a lot like when the Rams faced Darnold and the Vikings in the wild-card round in January.

    Prediction: Win, 7-3.

Nov. 23: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 5:20 p.m., SoFi Stadium

This should be one of the best challenges for the Rams’ secondary all season, with the variety of pass catchers at Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield’s disposal.

    Prediction: Loss, 7-4.

Nov. 30: Carolina Panthers, 10 a.m., Bank of America Stadium

The Rams start a four-road-games-in-five-weeks stretch with a positive note.

    Prediction: Win, 8-4.

Dec. 7: Arizona Cardinals, 1:25 p.m., State Farm Stadium

We’ll have a clearer picture on whether the Cardinals have made the strides they to need to compete in the NFC West by this time. If they have, Marvin Harrison Jr. could again present a significant problem for the Rams’ secondary to solve.

    Prediction: Win, 9-4.

Dec. 14: Detroit Lions, 1:25 p.m., SoFi Stadium

There’s a lot to learn about these Lions after the departures of their two coordinators and some changes along the offensive line. But Detroit still has enough firepower to give the Rams’ defense fits.

    Prediction: Loss, 9-5.

Dec. 18: Seattle Seahawks, 5:15 p.m., Lumen Field

Again, the Rams’ pass rush will be determinative against a weak Seattle offensive line.

    Prediction: Win, 10-5.

    Dec. 29: Atlanta Falcons, , 5:15 p.m., Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The Rams could be in position in this game to clinch a playoff spot and increase the value of the 2026 first-round pick the Falcons owe them.

    Prediction: Win, 11-5.

Week 18: Arizona Cardinals, time/date TBD, SoFi Stadium

For the third consecutive year, with a playoff spot in hand, the Rams rest their starters for the final game of the season.

    Prediction: Loss, 11-6.
