Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been recalled the England squad for the first time since 2018.
The AC Milan midfielder was drafted in the squad for the upcoming internationals against Andorra and Serbia after Adam Wharton picked up an adductor injury during Crystal Palace’s win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
Wharton hobbled of in the second half of the 3-0 victory at Villa Park and manager Oliver Glasner claimed the star have to withdraw from the England camp.
That has opened the door to Loftus-Cheek who earned his last cap in November 2018 against the United States.
The ex-Chelsea star has started the season in good form with the Rossoneri and netted in Friday night’s 2-0 win at Lecce.
