Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Hailey Weiler from Seattle, Washington, has verbally committed to swim and study at the University of Southern California beginning in the 2026-27 school year. At the time of her commitment, she wrote on social media:
“I’m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Southern California! I would like to thank God, my family, friends, teammates and coaches Tommy, Ken, and LeAnne for supporting me through this journey. I would also like to give a huge thanks to Coach Lea, Coach Meghan, and their team for giving me this opportunity. I can’t wait for what the future holds at USC! Fight on! ”
A rising senior at John F. Kennedy High School, Weiler is a 4-time WIAA Girls 4A State Champion, with 1st place finishes in the 200 IM (2:06.59) and 100 back (55.99) as a sophomore and the 100 fly (54.34) and 100 back (54.63) as a junior.
She moved from Bellevue Club Swim Team this summer and clocked a pair of LCM best times in the 50 back (29.53) and 50 fly (29.13). Before that, she swam year-round with Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club. At 2024 Winter Juniors West, she dropped half a second in the 50 free to log a PB of 23.04, .8 in the 100 free (50.83), and 1.2 in the 100 back (53.46 for a 6th-place finish). She also split 22.47/48.92/1:49.05 freestyle legs on SMAC’s 200/400/800 free relays. At Rochester Sectionals in March, she improved her 100 free time to 50.09 and her 100 fly to 54.29.
This summer, she finaled in the 50 back (32nd) and 100 back (23rd) at Junior National Championships in Irvine.
Weiler will join Rylee Hutchinson and Ella Gaca-Thiele in the Trojans’ class of 2030.
Best SCY times:
100 back – 53.46 200 back – 1:59.33 100 fly – 54.29 50 free – 23.04 100 free – 50.09 200 free – 1:50.74While USC lost their top 100 backstroker (Caroline Famous) to graduation, and their 200 backstroker (Macky Hodges) transferred to Indiana, Minna Atherton will be back – along with a strong recruiting class for 2025-26. Weiler’s best 100 back time would have scored for the Trojans in the ‘C’ final at 2025 B1G Championships. To get a second swim at conference in her other events, it took 1:57.84 in the 200 back, 53.45 in the 100 fly, 22.55 in the 50 free, 49.60 in the 100 free, and 1:47.11 in the 200 free.
