FULHAM fans’ cheeky chant at Tyrique George backfired spectacularly.
George, 19, came off the bench for Chelsea 14 minutes into their West London derby on Saturday.
The Blues academy graduate replaced Liam Delap up front after the No9 pulled up with a hamstring tear.
But the youngster was subbed back off again with nine minutes to go as Chelsea held on for a controversial 2-0 victory.
George, though, was subject to hilarious taunts from the away fans at Stamford Bridge.
Fulham supporters reportedly sang “you’re getting sold in the morning” at the teenager during the clash.
George looked set to leave the Blues with Roma and RB Leipzig both keen.
However, just 48 hours after the Premier League game, Fulham fans may have been regretting their gibes.
Because news broke that Marco Silva’s side had agreed a £22million with their rivals for the purchase of George.
The deal is thought to be a five-year contract and include a sell-on clause.
